HABA invites you to exhibit your business

This years SCS Business Expo will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010. This will be the fifth annual HABA sponsored event. We are inviting all the area businesses to participate.

With your early commitment, we can forecast a great show. Remember, your business does not have to be situated directly on Harper to exhibit at the EXPO.

This years event will again be held at Rodgers School located on Harper just south of 12 Mile Rd. The physical address is 21601 Lanse SCS, MI 48081.

Set up will available from 5PM to 9PM on Friday April 16th and early Saturday morning starting at 7:00AM. With FREE admission to the public, the event will be open from 9AM to 4PM.

We are requesting all participants set up prior to the opening and remain with their area until the event is closed at 4PM. Non participants can still advertise with us. Please drop off 500 copies of your flyer to add to our give away bags - fee is only $25. Due by April 5, 2010.

H.A.B.A. NEWS

• Our 2009 Business EXPO held at the Rogers Elementary School this spring was a great success! Each year brings back those that have been here in the past along with new businesses! Our thanks to all city officials, departments and organizations that attended and were available to answer questions by residents.

• CIA (Corridor Improvement Authority) a committee made up of, the Mayor and 9 others, these are business and community people with an interest in improvements on Harper. The committee would like H.A.B.A members who are interested in putting up a wall in the alley behind their business to attend a meeting and to ask for help with the cost of a survey and engineering costs. Also they may be able to help with the cost of replacement trees, and Harper frontage landscaping. Meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month @7:15pm at City Hall; all meetings are open to the public.

HABA Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Harper Avenue Business Association of St. Clair Shores (H.A.B.A.), to establish a recognizable organization devoted to the Promotion of commerce along the Harper Avenue corridor between 8 Mile and 14-Mile Roads.

In doing so we hope to cultivate a spirit of comradeship and business cooperation among the association members and merchants. It is our further goal to engage in activities that will improve the appearance, safety and customer appeal of the region.

With the cooperation of the municipal government, we will research and participate in projects designed to enhance the well being of the Avenue and community
